Ukrainian ferro-alloys producer Privat restarted ferro-silicon and silico-manganese production at its Zaporozhye and Stakhanov plants in early March, while reducing production at its Nikopol plant.
The company shut most of its production at Zaporozhye and Stakhanov in the fourth quarter of 2012 and continued to operate Nikopol, which is the largest of the three but the only one that does not have capacity for ferro-silicon. Zaporozhye will operate six units and Stakhanov will operate seven.
