Port Hedland in September iron ore exports jump by 46% YoY

According to data released by the Port Authority, iron ore shipments made from the Australian Port Hedland totaled 28.9 million tons in September, rising by 5.7% from a month ago and soaring by 45.6% year on year.

In September, China was the largest importer of the iron ore made from the Port Hedland with 23 million tons, up by 3.2% from a month ago and jumping by 51.8% year on year.

Meanwhile, the iron ore shipments made from Port Hedland to Korea and Japan totaled 2.9 million tons and 2.22 million tons respectively.
