Liberty Galați, the largest integrated steel producer in Romania with an annual steel production capacity of 3 million tons, planned to resume its primary production operations on April 22, right after Easter.
Cornel Moisescu, newly appointed Head of Primary for Liberty Galați, will lead this effort as part of the company’s strategy to support Romania’s key economic sectors. He will coordinate operations at the sinter plant, blast furnace, continuous casting, and steelshop, aiming to achieve production targets and ensure workers' safety.
Moisescu said the current market challenges are among the most difficult in his career, but stressed the importance of Romanian steel for the national economy and the Galați community.
