China's import volume of nickel ore in January

According to Chinese customs data, the import volume of nickel ore in January 2025 was 911,900 tons, a decrease of 607,800 tons compared to the previous month, a decrease of 39.99%, a year-on-year decrease of 113,900 tons, a decrease of 11.10%. Among them, there are 810,300 tons of laterite nickel ore and 101,600 tons of sulfide nickel ore. 647,200 tons of laterite nickel ore were imported from the Philippines, accounting for 70.97% of this month's import volume.
