China's stainless steel export prices keep stable before Spring Festival holiday

As of January 14, China's stainless steel coil export prices remained stable compared to January 7. Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. raised its local stainless steel prices by CNY 100/ton last week.
Nickel prices slightly increased over the past week, while stainless steel producers announced their maintenance plans for January and February, which could reduce nickel demand.
With the Spring Festival holiday (January 28-February 4) approaching, market participants are unwilling to lower stainless steel offers amid relatively low inventory levels. More participants are expected to take leave next week, potentially influencing stainless steel prices.
Domestic stainless steel prices in China are likely to remain stable in the coming week, according to market participants’ expectations.
