This week, the domestic price of silicon manganese in India has declined, and steel mills have been cautious in their purchasing attitude due to weak demand. In major regions such as Durgapur, Raipur, and Vizag, the ex factory price of silicon manganese decreased by 1,000-1,300 rupees/ton (12-16 US dollars/ton) month on month to 68,100-68,300 rupees/ton (811-813 US dollars/ton).

The downward trend of silicon manganese prices is also affected by market uncertainty and limited export demand. However, the stable price of imported manganese ore has to some extent supported the price.
