The price of silicon manganese in various markets in India (Laipur, Durgapur, and Visakhapatnam) fell by 1,000 rupees/ton ($12/ton) to 68,200-68,800 rupees/ton ($814-822/ton). The domestic price of silicon manganese in India continues to decline, falling to a low point in over three months. Steel mills are cautious in their procurement and tend to purchase on demand in anticipation of further price declines.
