US’ crude steel output in week ending Jul 20 increases w-o-w, y-o-y

According to data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on July 20, the US’ production of crude steel was around 1.74 million net tons, increasing by 0.2% week on week and growing by 3% year on year. During the period, the capacity utilization rate was 78.3%, with a week-on-week increase of 0.2% and growth of 4% year on year.
As of July 20, the adjusted year-to-date output of the US’ crude steel was around 49.04 million net tons, decreasing by 2.3% year on year. In terms of the capacity utilization rate, it was 76.5%, decreasing by 0.8% year on year.
