In the second quarter of 2024, manganese ore production decreased by 63% to 356,000 tons, mainly due to the suspension of mining operations in Australia caused by the impact of Tropical Cyclone Meghan in mid March. This weather event caused widespread flooding and significant damage to critical infrastructure. The focus of mining business recovery is to rebuild key service facilities, dehydrate target mines, and have been gradually resuming mining activities since June. The engineering research for repairing infrastructure is currently underway.
