In India, the price of 70% high carbon ferromanganese rose by 1,600 rupees/ton (US $19/ton) weekly, and the ex factory price in Raipur reached 95,000 rupees/ton (US $1,137/ton). At the same time, the price of Durgabur increased by 3,000 rupees/ton (US $36/ton) to 96,000 rupees/ton (US $1,149/ton). The price rise is due to the rise of manganese ore price.
