In April 2024, the total export volume of South African chrome ore was 1.7448 million tons, a decrease of 2.5% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 45%. Among them, 865,800 tons of chrome ore were exported to China, a decrease of 8.5% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 60.4%. 718,600 tons of chrome ore were exported to Mozambique, an increase of 11.4% month on month and 45.4% year-on-year.
The total export volume of South African chrome ore from January to April 2024 was 6.817 million tons, an increase of 28.6% year-on-year. The quantity exported to China was 3.4076 million tons, an increase of 39.2% year-on-year. The quantity exported to Mozambique was 2.6549 million tons, an increase of 17.5% year-on-year. The quantity exported to Indonesia was 800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 24.7%.
