According to the report, the European Union (EU) increased the imports of Russian steel and aluminum in March because the demand significantly grew from Belgium and Germany, which caused Russia to become the EU's second-largest steel supplier.

The steel purchase amount of Belgium reached EUR 130.5 million, hitting a record high since June 2022, while the ranking of other countries purchasing Russian steel was divided into Italy, Denmark, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.

Russia's exported aluminum to the EU increased by 29% to EUR 91.4 million, which is the highest point since last October. Among them, Russia's exports to Germany increased by four times, and Spain and Poland's imports from Russia increased by 69% and 21%, respectively.
