US’ steel shipments increase in Jan m-o-m, y-o-y

According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in January, the shipment from the US steel mills was about 7.38 million net tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.3% and a month-on-month increase of 4.3%.
Among them, compared January 2024 shipments to the month of January 2023, hot rolled sheets increased by 4%, cold rolled sheets rose by 8%, and corrosion-resistant sheets grew by 4%.
