Chinese main steel manufacturers’ steel products output decreases in late Jan compared to middle Jan

According to data from the China Iron and Steel Association, at the end of January, the daily average pig iron output from China’s main steel manufacturers totaled about 1.78 million tons, falling by 6% compared to the middle of January and decreasing by 1.61% year on year.
Meanwhile, the daily average crude steel and steel products’ production amounted to about 2.02 million tons and 1.97 million tons, decreasing by 3.69% and 2.9% from the middle of January, respectively. In January, the operating rate of blast furnaces from China’s main steel manufacturers was 75.7%.
