US’ steel shipments increase in Oct m-o-m, y-o-y

According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in October, the shipment from the US steel mills was about 7.34 million net tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.9% and a month-on-month increase of 1.3%.
In the first ten months, the shipment totaled about 74.12 million net tons, decreasing by 2% from the corresponding period of last year. Among them, compared to shipments year-to-date in 2023 to the first ten months of 2022, hot rolled sheets increased by 8%, cold rolled sheets kept flat, and corrosion-resistant sheets went down by 2%.
