India's NMDC Steel produces first hot-rolled coil

NMDC Steel, a steel subsidiary of NMDC Limited, has produced its first hot-rolled coil in just nine days after the blast furnace was launched.
The annual production capacity of this plant, with a total investment of around INR 24,000 crore, is 3 million tons. Three key units, including the blast furnace, steel melting shop, and mills, were commissioned in such a short period of time.
The plant will start producing various special types of steel at a later stage, which will be used in various industries.
