ArcelorMittal’s European steel plant was originally supposed to resume production in May after facing a fire accident. However, the resumption was postponed until the middle-end of June. Therefore, the short-term urgent order requirement from Europe went up in June. The main orders were hot-rolled carbon steel, galvanized steel, and stainless steel.
However, with urgent orders gradually decreasing and entering summer vacation in Europe, market participants forecasted that the inquiry from Europe might have maintained at a low level until the end of August.
