South Korea's scrap imports decrease in Apr m-o-m, y-o-y

South Korea imported about 251,000 tons of scarp in April, decreasing by 30.5% month on month and falling by 50% year on year. Among them, Japan, the US, and Russia were the main South Korean scrap import sources, with a volume decreasing by 21.2%, 67.7%, and 50.5% month on month, respectively.
At the same time, the scrap exports totaled about 33,000 tons, soaring by 55.9% year on year,
In the first four months of this year, South Korean scrap imports were 1.35 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 27.5%. The exports totaled 116,000 tons, hiking by 89.1% from the same period a year ago.
