Canadian Amerigo Resources' copper production in Q1 higher than guidance

Amerigo Resources, a Canadian copper producer, announced that its copper production in the first quarter was 16.5 million pounds, which is 4.5% higher than guidance.
The company indicated that the increased copper output was due to higher grades from fresh tailings and higher grades and recoveries from historical tailings.
Meanwhile, Amerigo's cash cost was US$1.91 per pound, which is 11% lower than its annual guided cash cost of $2.14 per pound.
