Indonesia will propose a free trade agreement (FTA) for some mineral shipments to the US so that companies in the electric vehicle supply chain can be benefited from new subsidies in the US.
Indonesia does not have an FTA with the US, but its nickel products are increasingly important in the supply chain. Indonesia has been trying to use its largest nickel reserves in the world to attract investment from battery and electric car makers.
