Fitch Solutions raises copper price forecast to $9,000/ton for 2023

According to a report from Fitch Solutions, a credit intelligence provider under Fitch Group, the price forecast of copper was raised to US$9,000/ton for 2023 from the previous US$8,500/ton on account of higher demand and tighter global supply.

China’s copper demand was expected to be boosted by the advancement of green energy transformation. Besides, the growing demand from other consumers worldwide and multi-year low LME warehouse inventories are also favorable factors for copper.
