Japan’s ferrous scrap exports increase in Jan y-o-y

According to statistics, Japan’s ferrous scrap exports amounted to approximately 572,000 tons in January this year, a year-on-year increase of 89%.
Among them, the exports to South Korea accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 308,500 tons, a year-on-year hike of 37.4%. Vietnam ranked second with 134,500 tons, followed by Taiwan’s 34,200 tons, surging by 309% and by 173% year on year, respectively.
