Turkey’s rebar exports fall in 2022 y-o-y

In 2022, Turkey’s rebar exports were about 5.7 million tons, decreasing by 23% year on year. The export value amounted to US$4.2 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 11.5%. The reasons for the decreased exports were low market demand, global worried about economic recession, and persistent safeguard measures.
Among them, the exports to Israel totaled 1.05 million tons, falling by 8.8% from the previous year. The followings were Yemen (about 740,000 tons), the US (about 355,000 tons), and Canada (about 245,000 tons).
