Hoa Phat’s steel sales slide by 7% in 2022

Hoa Phat Group, the largest steel manufacturer in Vietnam, reported that its total steel sales, including construction steel, hot-rolled coil, and billet, amounted to 558,000 tons in December 2022, hiking by 25.9% compared to the previous month.
Among them, the sales of construction steel grew by 42% to 358,000 tons, while that of hot-rolled coil dropped by 20% to 144,000 tons.
In the whole of 2022, Hoa Phat’s steel sales totaled 7.2 million tons, down by 7% year on year.
The group’s crude steel production was expected to surpass 14 million tons by 2025.
