South Korea's steel industry suffers huge losses after strike of truckers

As Cargo Truckers Solidarity Union (CTSU) called off the strike, logistical difficulties in South Korea were finally relieved. However, the strike has already caused the transport suspension of 920,000 tons of goods, which also meant that the local steel industry has suffered a huge loss of about 1.2 trillion won in the strike.

This 16-day strike, as admitted by the local steel industry, has certainly caused numerous losses in various aspects, such as prime material imports and finished goods deliveries.

Since the government of South Korea ordered to restart work, the strike finally stopped on December 9.
