US' steel exports decrease in Oct m-o-m, y-o-y

According to data from the US Department of Commerce, the US exported around 633,000 tons of steel in October this year, decreasing by 3.6% month on month and 3.1% year on year. Meanwhile, the steel export value was US$1.2 billion, dropping by 4% from the previous month and growing by 6.1% year on year.
Among them, Canada imported the most US’ steel, with around 270,000 tons, decreasing by 10.9% month on month and falling by 11% year on year. Besides, the exports to Mexico, the Dominican, and Singapore were about 313,000 tons, 6,450 tons, and 3,370 tons, respectively.
At the same time, the US’ main steel exports included hot-dip galvanized products (about 94,000 tons) and cut-to-length plates (about 81,000 tons).
