Canacero: Mexican steel consumption to grow by 3% in 2023

On November 16, the Mexican National Chamber of Iron and Steel (Canacero) re-elected the members of the board of directors for the period 2022-2023, which was headed by David Gutiérrez Muguerza.
Regarding the expectation for next year, Muguerza considered that it is quite complicated due to various political issues around the world, which can have a significant impact on Mexico.
However, Máximo Vedoya, vice president of Canacero, indicated that Mexico's apparent consumption of steel will grow by 3% in 2023, mainly thanks to growing demand from the construction sector.
