Turkish Koc Metalurji to resume production in early Nov

Turkish long steel product producer, Koc Metalurji, has decided to restart its steelmaking and rolling facilities on 1st November after a month-long shutdown, with initial plans to produce for about 12 hours a day.
Turkey's industrial electricity and natural gas prices rose sharply twice in September and October, increasing steel production costs and driving up steel prices. Because of the seasonal contraction in demand and poor economic conditions, some Turkish steel mills reduce production or choose to stop production.
