Thyssenkrupp, a German steel manufacturer, announced that it will sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Waelzholz GmbH to provide Waelzholz with climate-friendly steel, bluemint®, from 2023.
As of 2030, Waelzholz will increase its purchasing volume of CO2-reduced steel step by step. The steel will be unpickled and pickled precision strips in the entire product range and up to a width of 720 mm.
Thyssenkrupp indicated that CO2-reduced steel could improve the footprint of both companies.
