Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, has developed nickel-free 400 series high-value stainless steel with high corrosion resistance and stable prices due to fluctuated prices of nickel used in 304 and 316 stainless steel.

Yusco said that it has entrusted Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) to conduct welding, forming, and salt spray tests on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, confirming that the new 400 series stainless steel products are comparable to the 300 series products on properties of welding, forming, and corrosion resistance.

Yusco’s new 400 series stainless steel products can be applied in outdoor distribution boxes, industrial plant wire racks, color-painted corrugated plates, solar brackets, solar panels, sinks and water towers, curtain walls, and so on.
