Hoa Phat Group's sales rise in Aug m-o-m

Due to building materials and plate product demand increasing, Vietnam Hoa Phat Group's sales performance was good, with total sales (including hot-rolled coil, building materials, and steel billets) in August rising by 19.4% month on month to 628,000 tons.
Hoa Phat Group was optimistic about this year, as the Vietnamese government moved to boost public investment and progress on priority projects, steel consumption showed positive growth.
In the first eight months of this year, the group totally sold 5.14 million tons of hot-rolled coil, building materials, and steel billets, up by 5% year on year, while crude steel production rose by 2% to 5.5 million tons year on year.
