Turkey’s HRC exports fall in Feb m-o-m

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 76,200 tons of hot-rolled coil (HRC) in February this year, falling by 44% compared to the previous month while rising by 29% from the same month a year ago.
The export value during the period totaled roughly US$67.8 million, a month-on-month decrease of 44.2% and a year-on-year increase of 75.7%.
In the first two months of this year, Turkey’s HRC exports amounted to approximately 211,800 tons, up by 26% year on year. The export value was up by 94% year on year to roughly US$189.4 million.
Among them, the top three export destinations were Egypt (around 106,500 tons), Italy (around 26,100 tons, a year-on-year hike of 3.2%), and Greece (around 13,900 tons, a year-on-year growth of 42.4%).
