US’ rebar exports decrease in Jan m-o-m, y-o-y

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 11,100 tons of rebar in January this year, falling by 15.4% compared to the previous month and also sliding by nearly 60% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 7,800 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 30% and a year-on-year drop of 70%. The Dominican Republic ranked second with nearly 1,500 tons, and the exports to other destinations were less than 1,000 tons.

During the reporting period, the export value totaled around US$11 million, down by 12.6% month on month and by 40% year on year.
