India’s Panaji state government has notified the Mining Dump Policy and permitted the handling of around 20 million tons of mineral rejects, sub-grade ore, or by-product generated during the period from November 23, 2007 to September 11, 2012.
The disposal of these iron ore products shall be decided by the state government, including auctioning according to the existing e-auction policy.
The state government said that mining activities in the state will continue as normal for the next four to five years.
