Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed the government to raise taxes on the mining industry as the mining companies have gained higher revenues due to rising raw material prices.
This plan was included in a package of measures announced by the president to try to offset income inequality in Kazakhstan.
