South African basic steel production hikes in Nov 2021 y-o-y

According to Statistics South Africa (SSA), South Africa's manufacturing production in November 2021 went down by 0.7% from the previous year.
During this period, the total production of basic steel, non-ferrous metal, metal, and mechanical products was up by 4.4% year on year.
Compared with the same period a year ago, the basic steel products output increased by 19.4%, and the output of structural metal products was down by 3%.
In November 2021, the seasonally adjusted sales volume of basic steel products was soaring by 55.7% from October, reaching around 15.5 billion rands.
