Aperam raises European stainless steel alloy surcharges for Jan

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, raised its alloy surcharge for European austenitic flat stainless steel products by EUR 100/ton for January.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was hiked to EUR 2,427/ton from December’s EUR 2,361/ton; that for 316 was increased to EUR 3,643/ton from EUR 3,563/ton in the previous month; that of 309S, used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was kept unchanged at EUR 3,267/ton; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 was dropped to EUR 922/ton from EUR 1,002/ton of last month.
