Turkey’s rebar exports increase in Jan-Nov 2021 y-o-y

According to preliminary statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 6.6 million tons of rebar in the first 11 months of 2021, increasing by 31.6% compared to the same period a year ago. The export value totaled roughly US$4.2 billion, a year-on-year hike of 94.7%.

During the period, the exports to Israel accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 1.01 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%. Yemen ranked second with roughly 842,600 tons, slightly up by 0.83% year on year; followed by Singapore’s 643,200 tons, surging by 174.6% year on year.

In November alone, Turkey's rebar exports totaled approximately 462,700 tons, sliding by 26.1% month on month and decreasing by 24.8% year on year. The export value was around US$321 million, down by nearly 26% month on month and up by 17.5% year on year.
