According to the market news, the Indonesian government has announced to ban the exports of coking coal in January 2022, on January 1st.
The decision has shocked the market, which might cause the global coking coal price to increase, as Indonesia was the main supplier for the global market.
By the view of the local officials, the domestic electric power supply was insufficient currently, the ban policy on coking coal was to prevent large-scale blackouts to happen.
