Hoa Phat Group, the leading steel manufacturer in Vietnam, ordered two blast furnaces for its Dung Quat steel complex from Danieli Corus, an Italy’s technology equipment supplier.

With the two new blast furnaces, Hoa Phat’s production capacity will be increased by 5.6 million tons per year. Coupled with the current 5 million tons of production capacity, Hoa Phat’s annual production capacity will surpass Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation (FHS)’s 7 million tons per year.

The working volume of the two blast furnaces is 2500 m³, each with an annual output of hot metal of 2.5-2.8 million tons.
