Brazil sets quota of duty-free aluminum for 2022

According to Brazil’s Official Gazette on December 22, Brazil has approved a quota for import duty-free unalloyed aluminum of 350,000 tons in 2022. A 5.4% import duty will be imposed on P1020 aluminum imports exceeding this quota.
The Executive Management Committee (GECEX) at Brazil’s Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX) made a final determination on December 21. CAMEX is a part of Brazil’s Ministry of Economy.
