Jindal Stainless develops domestic stainless steel chequered sheets

India’s Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has developed the first domestic hot-rolled stainless steel chequered sheets.
The annual demand for this product in India is 200,000 tons, and the company is aiming to secure 20% of the market share in three years, said JSL official.
Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director at JSL, said that they are targeting annual sales of 40,000 tons of stainless steel chequered sheets under the brand name, Jindal Infinity.
In the meantime, he added, the demand for stainless steel chequered sheets is increasing by 8% annually, and this product was expected to create additional revenue of around 5 billion rupees for JSL.
