China’s tariff adjustments on stainless steel-related raw materials keep unchanged

China’s Tariff Commission of the State Council announced the tariff adjustments for 2022 yesterday (December 15).
In terms of stainless steel-related raw materials, the export tariff rates on ferrochrome, ferromanganese, and stainless steel scrap were kept unchanged. The export tariff for ferrochrome and stainless steel scrap is still 40%, and that for ferromanganese is maintained at 20%.
For semi-finished stainless steel products under HS codes 72181000, 72189100, and 72189900, and other alloy steels, ingots, or primary shapes under HS code 72241000, the most-favored-nation duty rate is 2% for 2022, and the provisional duty rate is zero.
