Metalloinvest has largest iron ore reserves in world

According to the assessment based on international JORC 2012 standards, Metalloinvest, a mining and metallurgy company in Russia, has determined to have economically recoverable iron ore reserves of 15.4 billion tons, ranking first in the world.
The assessment was carried out with the participation of SRK, an international mining exploration consultant.
The assessment of reserves involved the evaluation of the geological model of the deposits and the volume estimate of commercial iron ore output, as well as the production forecast of high value-added products, including pellets and hot briquetted iron.
