Ternium's steel shipments increase in first 9 months of 2021

The multinational steelmaker Ternium registered an increase of 17% in its steel shipments during the third quarter of this year in the Mexican market, after reporting a result of 1,366.4 million dollars and an increase of 8% globally in this period.
In the first nine months of this year, Ternium's steel shipments were 9.2 million tons, 946,000 tonnes more than the same period last year. Shipments in Mexico increased by 20%, and those in the South Region were up by 48%, while they decreased 19% in other markets, mainly due to lower shipments of slabs to third parties.
The company estimated that volumes sold in the United States, Mexico, and Canada will increase slightly in the fourth quarter.
