Australian Bauxite Limited (ABx), a bauxite exploration and development company based in Australia, planned to build a new pilot plant for its aluminum fluoride production expansion plan.

The pilot plant will be initially operated by its subsidiary Alcore at Bell Bay with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons. The production capacity will be gradually increased to 600,000 tons per year.

The expansion project in Bell Bay, Tasmania will secure the supply of raw materials for aluminum production in Australia, with an expected annual value of more than US$4.5 billion.

Alcore expected that the plan would begin with approximately 50 jobs, which might be increased to several hundred in the future.
