Indonesia plans to hit brakes raw materials exports

Indonesian President Joko Widodo said this Tuesday (October 19) that Indonesia is planning to hit the brakes on exports of all raw commodities in order to attract investment in the processing of the local resources as well as create job opportunities.
According to the current regulations, Indonesia will ban bauxite exports in 2023.
Joko Widodo said that the policy will affect all commodities. Due to no added value and no jobs created, Indonesia does hope to hit brakes on raw material exports.
