Vale’s copper concentrate production suspended at Salobo mine on fire accident

According to Vale S.A. (Vale), a Brazilian multinational corporation engaged in metals and mining, the production of copper concentrate at its Salobo mine has been suspended due to a fire accident on the conveyor belt. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the incident.
Vale said that the copper concentrate mining at this site will be resumed before the end of October, and other operations, such as mining and maintenance, will be running as usual.
Currently, the investigation of the cause of the fire is ongoing.
