China’s HRC production drops in Aug m-o-m

According to statistics, China’s hot-rolled coil (HRC) production totaled around 14.3 million tons in August, sliding by 1.8% compared to the previous month and also falling by 10.4% from the same month a year ago.
In the first eight months of this year, China’s HRC production amounted to roughly 123.6 million tons, rising by 10.6% year on year, 3.5% lower than the growth rate in the January-July period.
As for cold-rolled coil (CRC), the production in China totaled around 28.9 million tons from January to August, a year-on-year increase of 16.2%, 2.2% lower than the increase rate in the period from January to July.
