Formosa Ha Tinh Steel (FHS) announced to lower its domestic prices of hot-rolled coils for September delivery, and took orders from downstream local manufacturers smoothly, so the sales target has been achieved.

It was originally estimated that the severe COVID-19 epidemic, the rainy season, and the price competition of imported China HRC may affect the order receiving situation. However, domestic downstream manufacturers' orders for export to Europe and North America were booming, and FHS supplied short delivery and stable quality, so it didn't cause an impact.

In addition, market participants believed that Asian steel mills are still holding up higher prices, so the current market trend is still strong in the second half of the year.
